update: building inspector has come and gone for the foundation inspection. we have been given the go ahead to start framing!!!
we are knee deep into a summer project. we decided to expand our little 10 foot by 12 foot concrete patio to a resounding 375 square foot wood deck. with a pick axe in hand and a jug of sweet tea on the patio table (plus a week of time spent at the county building wrangling a deck permit) we have set out to creating our overlook into the forest.
